Dr Thomas M. Jarrett

BSci, PhD, MD | Experienced Critical Care Doctor and Retrievalist from United States

Summary

Clearing trauma bays in Cleveland, Ohio, conducting roadside vaccine clinics in the Caribbean and international jet ICU transfers are just some of the varied clinical challenges I have met to date.

I bring a combined 20 years of prehospital and hospital experience, including 3 years of ACGME Accredited Emergency Physician training in the United States.

While completing my US medical doctorate I also earned a PhD in Neuroscience. I remain passionate about research and teaching in the field of out-of-hospital critical care medicine. I am a reviewer for several emergency medicine journals, have served on the National Association of EMS Physicians, Research Committee since 2016, and teach in a variety of roles and topics in prehospital medicine.

Having recently moved back home, for Australian family reasons, I see fantastic opportunity for enduring work for me as a health practitioner in remote, rural, and regional Australia. Initially I am seeking primarily clinical jobs where Level 2 or 3 AHPRA Supervision is available, the sponsoring institution has an open position for an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has Australian provisional registration, and an established track record of successfully matriculating IMG's to Australian general registration.
