Managed and designed rate structures for National drayage network. Negotiated with network of carriers to help set rates. Sole responsibility for setting rates for Carrier Relations group accounting for approximately $85M is drayage spend across a network of over 350 carriers
Primary resource for ad hoc reporting and data mining/analysis for Carrier Relations team
Administration of key statistical Performance Metrics pertaining to drayage network productivity
Worked in tandem with all departments to continue to grow and develop process improvements to provide a more positive response to the customer experience
Designed unique rate structure for specific drayage market and lanes (Memphis, TN to/from Nashville, TN). Worked closely with carrier Sr. Management and was able to develop a plan that was beneficial both in time and financial, for Streamline, contracted carrier, as well as savings to our customer
Acted as primary contact and liaison for Carrier Relations when working with IT department. This included a redesign of reporting methodologies to align with applicable technology platforms as well as primary responsibility when setting and measuring metrics
Developed Vendor Training program and Performance Metrics reporting processes to ensure carriers and drivers maintained both high performance levels as well as safety standards to meet Key Performance Indexes as well as maintaining legal documentations - contracts and rules circular to help carriers adhere to metrics
Analyzed multiple factors and inputs to implement cost savings components to carrier moves that eliminated empty miles, resulting in a savings of $212,000
Evaluated standard data and was able to identify an anomaly not caught prior by Operations or IT group. Further research determined system was incorrectly and inadvertently overpaying carriers in the amount of $475,000. Worked quickly and diligently to identify system issue and corrected. Additionally, was able to recuperate approximately 95% of over payments from carriers.
