• Generate thought leadership assets, such as Proof of Value, Whitepapers, Frameworks, Blogs and Use-cases in pharma R&D space to support the sales and marketing team

• Participate in Request for Proposal processes and offer domain-specific insights

Achievements:

• Successfully prepared a business case to address a pain point in the drug discovery area and developed a proof of concept in collaboration with the IT team

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Scientific Lead, provide domain inputs and supervise the development of three drug discovery offerings: Indication Identification, Asset Prioritization, and Drug Combination Prediction.
• Oversee a technical and domain expert team to execute both long-term partnership projects and short-term proof-of-concept proposals
• Leveraging Research Informatics to Accelerate Drug Discovery

Achievements:

• Identified a clinical stage pharmaceutical asset that was successfully in-licensed (announced in May 2022).
• Created a new drug discovery module, which was the first to be integrated on the organization platform and implemented in various drug discovery projects
• Filed a patent for the reconstruction of a drug's mechanism of action

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualizing and executing solutions for analyzing biological information relevant to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology domains
• Define the problem statement and initial hypothesis: designing an optimal research approach with a mix of research techniques
• Combining diverse, curated public datasets related to drug, disease, protein, pathway, gene expression data to generate insight
• Work across capabilities areas like market assessments, KOL identification and unmet need analysis to provide client with comprehensive technology, scientific research and market trend
• Keeping pace with new developments, publications, conferences, activities  relevant to the scientific field of requirement

Achievements:

• Successfully led and managed a drug discovery initiative for a German government-funded project focused on identifying a drug for an infectious disease.
• As a domain expert, played a significant role in identifying new and affordable cancer treatments among existing non-cancer generic and off-patent drugs.
• Obtained two patents for the identification of drug molecules for the treatment of pancreatic cancer.

Research focused on developing High Throughput Screening (HTS) models to screen National Repository of Small Molecule (NROSM) library for anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, anti-tuberculosis and anti-diabetes activity

Achievements:

• Analyzed complex dataset obtained from screening of 3,500 compounds to identified 42 anti-tubercular hits
  
• Coordinated with a cross-functional team (Chemist, Computational Biologist) for successful completion of 3 drug discovery project

Research involved bridging the gap between inflammation & cancer, understanding complex function of immune cells within tumor microenvironment and proposing dietary solutions as a preventive & therapeutic agent.

Achievements:

• Gathered literature, facts & statistics on role of natural compounds in cancer 
• Analysed the expression of inflammasome sensors & its implementation in development of cancer 
• Elucidated anticancer mechanism of marine bioactive in panel of cancer cells

Dissertation:  Analyzing the Chemopreventive Potential of Medicinal Plants in Cervical Cancer and Studying the Underline Molecular Mechanisms Governing their Anticancer Activity.
