Oversee all maintenance functions in Rust-Oleum’s largest plant consisting of four aerosol packaging lines, two brush packaging lines, milling, utilities, warehousing and Building and Grounds. Directly responsible for 25 Non-unionized hourly mechanics, one storeroom associate, one MRO associate, two salaried maintenance supervisors and one salaried planner/scheduler. Implement maintenance methodologies and continuous improvement. Coordinate, review and approve annual Budget of $1.7MM. Additionally responsible for the upkeep of the 600k SQFT facility to include HVAC, Boiler, Electrical and Mechanical systems.  

  • In 1 years time, established a physical maintenance material storeroom with all records residing in the SAP system which was a first in the company. This has resulted in a maintenance budget savings of $20k - $30k per month.
  • In 1.5 year’s time, reduced maintenance backlog hours from 30 to 4 weeks by restructuring the SAP Maintenance Module to better align with the maintenance methodology. Additionally, this effort resulted in an OEE increase of 10%
  • Designed, procured and implemented an enterprise quality safety and security vision system saving the company $150k from originally proposed equipment and installation.
