  • Managed day-to-day operations of $400 million radio group, including P&L, sales, programming, production, engineering, legal, forecasting, budgeting, inventory management, talent, systems operations, and audience research.
  • Created Syndication One , the radio syndication network for Radio One.
  • Introduced a new management intelligence system to the company that significantly improved management controls and performance at all levels of management.
  • Increased top line revenue by improving inventory management performance by developing a new yield management system. The new strategy helped stations increased revenue by 3 to 5% per station and increased conversion ratios.
  • Management and upgraded the XM Channel 169 for Radio One

  • Drove WLS-AM into profitability in  his first year of management after station suffered 10 years of unprofitable performance under prior management. Increased first year revenue by over 77% and 264% in revenue in three years.
  • Increased ratings for WLS from 17th rank to top 4 in one of the most competitive radio marketing in the country. WLS was transformed into one of the most respected NewsTalk stations in America.
  • Launched a new classic rock format that took Chicago’s lowest ranked  FM radio station to top 6 in Men25-54 in 3 months
  • Created and launched the first ESPN Radio format for ESPN which became the flagship station for ESPN’s 300+ station national network
  • Managed the most profitable Radio Disney station targeting kid’s  6-11 in American for Disney/ABC. WRDZ-AM went on to maintain top billing and profitability status every year.

Zemira and his wife have raised two champions on the show circuit to date.The two of them combined have 88 best-in-show and best-in-breed wins and two invitations to the coveted Westminster Dog Show.

Zemira served as President/General Manager for stations owned by ABC/Disney, and ESPN and VP of Operations for Radio One overseeing the largest radio company in the country serving African Americans.

    He was named one of the 8 Best Managers in Radio in the country by Radio Ink Magazine and nominated as NewsTalk Executive of The Year and General Manager of The Year by Radio & Records Magazine.
