Who is this guy?

Half-Japanese, Harry grew up in the USA.  After graduating from Gordon College, he was an editor at Morehouse Publishing (when it was still the largest independent publisher for the Anglican Communion) while caring for his grandmother suffering from Alzheimer's, and studying ancient Near East languages.  He earned his M.Div. while pioneering ministry to unchurched university students and helping to manage 60 staff for a $3M/annum award-winning business.

During +Martyn Minns's last 2 years as rector of Truro Church (Fairfax VA) and first 7 years as bishop of the original CANA network (which formed 5 dioceses for ACNA), Harry served as chief of staff for the bishop.  During this time he also served David Harper+ in his last 5 years at Church of the Apostles (Fairfax VA), and helped Dr. Betsy Stalcup establish www.GodHealsToday.org.  Dr. Steve Garber (InterVarsity Press author) tells a bit of Harry's story at a Gordon College convocation in this 3½-minute video excerpt: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUNTZ70fxB8.

In Northern Ireland for 4 years, Harry led culture shifts in the second largest parish in the Church of Ireland, where he built ecumenical bridges between Catholics and Protestants.

Currently, he's been apprenticing imperfect heroes who self-sacrificially love King Jesus and their neighbors as they build bridges across demographic divisions in former Jim Crow country.

Harry & Nancy are empty nesters with one son (Biola University '23) on film sets in Los Angeles, and another working in the equine industry and studying at Aberystwyth University in the UK.
